The file discusses the purchase of a wedding gift for John Bassett's son, John Frederick, and his bride Susan Carling, and for Dorothy Boylen; the filming of a television program at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery narrated by Beaverbrook; Lady Dalkeith and whether or not she had been a model and the Bassetts' trips to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Contained in the file are news clippings of the Bassett wedding and typed excerpts from a speech delivered by Premier Mitchell Hepburn and printed in the 6 March 1937 edition of The Globe and Mail in which he makes reference to Sir James Dunn and Algoma Steel Corporation.
